Let's get busy! Spring is here and our Youth is as active as ever!  In case you haven't heard, we recently elected a new Youth Board for the 2007 year. Thanks to all of the girls who prepared those wonderful speeches...and congrats to our new Youth Board:

President: Jennifer Henderson
Vice President: Heather Perez
Secretary: Hannah Doyle 

Last year's Youth President and this year's Region 14 Youth Director, Katie Pelphrey, will represent our youth on the BAHA Board of Directors. Katie will be able to keep us all informed on the latest youth happenings within our Region!

Our 2007 Youth Judging Team is still looking for members!! Remember, you can be an associate member and still be on our team, even if you are an AHA member through another club!! With as many youth interested, it looks like we might be having two teams! Nationally known judge and trainer, Martha Murdock, has agreed to help us take this team to the top! Darlene Steven has coached numerous 4-H groups to State championships and she has also stepped up and invited us to some of her clinics. Darlene is the "oral reasons" queen!! We are very excited to have Martha and Darlene with us this year!! Be sure to check out future news on how our judging team is coming along. We will be attending at least one, possibly two, local/regional contests to help us prepare for the big dance this October in Albuquerque!

Remember the BAHA Boutique? It's up and running again! Handmade items from our youth include tee shirts, bracelets, necklaces, scarves, and much more! You can find the BAHA Boutique at any of the San-N-Tone Shows, the BAHA Spring Blast, as well some of our other local and regional horse shows!

If you are a senior in high school this year, don't forget about the BAHA Youth Scholarship! BAHA will award 2 $500 Scholarships to graduating Seniors. BAHA has recently introduced a Financial Assistance program to be utilized by it's Youth. The final details have just been put into place. This is something you will definately want to check out. Contact us @ kybaha@aol.com for more details! 

Our club is always growing and of course always looking for NEW members! Invite your classmates, neighbors, and best buddies out to our next BAHA event! Don't forget, Associate youth memberships are only $10!! Come be a part of the region's most up and coming youth club!!
