BAHA

The Bluegrass Arabian Horse Association (BAHA) was founded in the Fall of 2004, by a close knit group of Arabian Horse enthusiasts who were determined to put the FUN back in horses and horse shows. The group is very friendly and likes to have FUN!

You are welcome whether you own a horse, want to own a horse or miss having your own horse.

Join BAHA and join the most FUN group of horse people in the state of KENTUCKY!

We have a wide variety of programs to suit everyone...from the ever successful BAHA Futurity to the High Point Achievement Programs to our annual horse show to just having FUN...come join us!

Happy New Year from the Bluegrass Arabian Horse Association!

 

It's hard to believe that 2009 came and went so quickly, but we are all excited for a fun-filled 2010!

BAHA wants to send a special thanks out to all of our members and friends for making 2009 such a memorable year. It's so amazing what we can all accomplish together! Looking forward to see what fun adventures 2010 shall bring us!

 

 

 

 

 

ANNUAL MEETING AND HIGH POINT BANQUET

February 27, 2010

Finchville Ruritan Club

Finchville, KY

Dinner: 6:00 p.m.

Meeting/Awards: 7:00 p.m.

This is always one of our biggest attend meetings and a wonderful time to gather with old and new friends. Our Board will give us some teasers of what is up ahead in 2010 for BAHA, plus we will be awarding our 2009 High Point award winners! There will also be elections of Club Executive Officers such as President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Club members will receive information prior to the meeting on voting information.

BAHA will be furnishing the meat, potatoes, drinks and bread. Members and guests are requested to fill out the meal by bringing salads, vegetables, sides, dessersts or any other special dish you would like to share!

Please note the change in the date of the meeting from the previous January 30 date. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the facility became unavailable for that date. We regret any inconvenience that the above change may have created. Detailed directions to the meeting location will be sent at a later date.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!

 

 


 

 

BAHA ia proud to announce that several of our members have recently been nominated for the 2009 Region 14 Horseman's Awards. There are also new categories this year for Purebred and Half-Arabian Horse of the Year. We are very proud of our BAHA members who dedicate their time and tireless efforts to the Arabian breed. Region 14 members should receive information in the mail in the near future on how to vote. Please help support your club members!

BAHA also is proud to announce that two individuals that are nominated for the upcoming APAHA Horsemen's Awards.

Rising Star Award: Jennifer Schmitt

Jennifer is the Assitant Trainer at Strand's Arabian Stables. Jennifer most recently was recognized for winning the Purebred Arabian Western Pleasure Junior Horse Reserve Championship with Sunsational Kid, who was bred by BAHA president, Rick Tosch.

Jennifer currently is the trainer for BAHA member horses Mychava, Rodeo Road and Angylia. Respectively owned by Mary Ann Allen, David & Olivia Stone, and Rick & Jennifer Tosch.

Also nominated for an APAHA Award is the owner of Sunsational Kid, Joe Frizzell. Joe has had amazing success with Kid, and breeder Rick Tosch couldn't be happier with the home he has found with the Frizzell family.

 Don't forget the last few San-N-Tone winter series horse shows! The San-N-Tone shows are held the second Sunday of each month from November through March. The shows are held at the Shelbyville Fairgrounds in Shelbyville, KY and managed by Sandy Stewart. This is a great show to bring green riders or green horses to for preparation for the upcoming show season.

Cafe' BAHA is always cooking up something tasty each month at the shows! Be sure to stop by and grab a breakfast sandwich or some of Rick's famous chili!
