Surprise Rides and New Horses!
Minimize

BAHA Members Jennifer Tosch and Olivia Stone made a trip to Iowa this January to visit their horse trainers, Jody Strand and Jennifer Schmitt. Little did they know the surprise Jody had in store for them! Jody had been schooling horses all morning while Olivia and Jennifer were observing. Jody came walking across the arena with multi-national champion, Sunsational Kid. The girls thought he was just coming over for a chat until he tossed a pair of spurs their way, and said, "who's up first?!" Much to their excitement, Jennifer and Olivia each got a lesson on the "Kid." This was extra special to Jennifer since her and her father, BAHA President Rick Tosch, bred and raised Kid. After watching him in the show ring all these years, it was truly a thrill to be able get to have a ride on him. How exciting!

While they were in Iowa, Olivia was able to sell a three year old half-arabian mare, sired by Rodeo Road, to a client of Jody Strand. Rodeo Road is a national top ten winner and is also a half-brother to Sunsational Kid! To complete their trip north, Olivia and her husband David purchased a new half-arabian western pleasure futurity prospect! A beautiful and typey chestnut mare caught Olivia's eye and made her way to be a part of the Cobblestone Road family, owned by the Stone family!

Thoughts and Prayers
Minimize

We are sure that you know by now about the horrible accident that our beloved Adrienne Hancock (Stonehurst Riding Club) suffered this summer.

While her condition has slowly improved she and her family are faced with a long and expensive recovery.

In order to help cover some of the medical cost, a very stylish pin in the shape of a helmet with the letter "A" engraved on it is being sold. The cost of the pin is $15.00. Checks can be made payable to AHHA (Arabian Horseman's Helmet Association) Contact: Cherylfarr@bellsouth.net for additional information.

The pins are available at Ky Horse Supply.

Adrienne has given so much to the Arabian community, now it is time for us to give back in any way we can to her.

Click on this link to view the flyer put out by the Arabian Horsemen's Helmet Alliance.

You can follow Adrienne's recovery on Stonehurst Riding Clubs Facebook page.

Thank you for your support
